Nissan Finance UK — Get Behind the Wheel of a Nissan
The Nissan Qashqai is one of the best-selling cars in the UK — and one of the most popular models we arrange finance for. Whether it is a Qashqai for the family, a Juke for something a bit more compact and distinctive, or a Micra as a reliable first car, Whoosh Car Finance can help.
We are an FCA-authorised credit broker based in Manchester, and we arrange finance for any used Nissan from any dealer in the UK. You do not need to use a Nissan dealer's finance department. You do not need a large deposit. And you do not need perfect credit.
Apply online in minutes — our initial eligibility check uses a soft search — and we will search a panel of lenders accessed through our finance partners to find the best deal available for your situation.
Popular Nissan Models We Finance
Nissan has built a reputation for practical, reliable, and affordable cars. Here are the models we see most often:
Nissan Qashqai
The Qashqai practically invented the compact crossover segment in the UK and remains one of the country's best-selling cars. Spacious for child seats and pushchairs, comfortable on motorway runs, with a raised driving position. Used 2017–2020 examples typically finance from around £174/mo. Affordable to insure and run.
Nissan Juke
Nissan's smaller crossover with a personality of its own. The second-generation Juke (2019 onwards) is a significant step up in quality, space, and tech. Popular with younger drivers and couples wanting something fun and practical without the size of a Qashqai.
Nissan Micra
A staple first car in the UK for decades. The current generation (from 2017) is sharper, drives better, and has a much more modern interior. Low insurance groups make it attractive for new and younger drivers — and among the most affordable cars to finance full stop.
Nissan Leaf
One of the UK's most popular EVs and the most established on the used market. A 2018–2020 Leaf offers a real-world range of around 150–170 miles, zero road tax, and very low running costs. HP and PCP both available.
Nissan X-Trail
Nissan's larger SUV, with seven seats in some configurations — practical for bigger families. Less common than the Qashqai but offers significantly more space and a more rugged feel.
We also regularly arrange finance for the Nissan Note, Navara (pickup), and other models. If it is a Nissan, we can finance it.
How Much Does Nissan Finance Cost?
The monthly cost of financing a Nissan depends on several factors:
- The specific model — a Micra costs significantly less per month than an X-Trail
- The age and mileage — newer, lower-mileage examples cost more
- Your deposit — even a small deposit reduces monthly payments and total cost
- The APR you are offered — depends on your credit profile
- The agreement length — longer terms lower the monthly but raise total cost
- The finance type — PCP offers lower monthlies; HP gives ownership at the end
As a rough guide for used Nissan finance:
These are illustrative figures only. The actual cost depends on your individual credit assessment, the specific car, and the deal structure. Use our car finance calculator for a personalised estimate.
Representative example: Borrowing £23,000 over 60 months at a representative APR of 10.9%, an annual interest rate of 10.87% (fixed) and a deposit of £0.00, you would make 60 monthly payments of £493.16. Total amount payable: £29,589.60. Total cost of credit: £6,589.60. This is an example only; all finance is subject to status. Lender fees may apply.
Your Finance Options
Through our finance partners, you can access two main types of finance for your Nissan:
Hire Purchase (HP)
Fixed monthly payments over an agreed term, usually 2–5 years. You own the Nissan at the end. No mileage restrictions, no balloon payment, no condition requirements. Particularly popular with Qashqai buyers planning to keep the car — high-mileage drivers never have to worry about excess mileage charges.
Learn about HP →Personal Contract Purchase (PCP)
Lower monthly payments with a larger final balloon. Pay the balloon and keep the Nissan, hand it back, or use any equity towards your next car. Works well for the Qashqai and Juke as they hold value reasonably well — manageable balloons and potential positive equity.

Nissan Finance with Bad Credit
Been refused finance before? That does not mean you cannot finance a Nissan. We work with specialist lenders available through our finance partners who consider applicants with CCJs, defaults, missed payments, and low credit scores.
Nissan models are actually some of the easiest cars to get approved on with bad credit. This is because they tend to be priced accessibly and hold their value steadily — both of which reduce the lender's risk. A used Qashqai at £8,000–£12,000 is a lower-risk proposition for a specialist lender than a premium car at £25,000.
The interest rate will be higher than for someone with excellent credit, and your finance type options may be more limited (HP is more widely available than PCP for bad credit applicants). But getting approved for a used Nissan is often very achievable even with a difficult credit history.

Finance Risks to Consider
FCA Consumer Duty — mandatory disclosures
Before financing a Nissan, understand the following:
All finance is subject to status. The rate you are offered depends on your individual credit assessment. The representative APR of 10.9% is received by at least 51% of approved applicants — you may be offered a higher or lower rate.
Financing a car costs more than paying cash because of interest. Always check the total amount payable to understand the true cost of the agreement, not just the monthly figure.
Depreciation applies to all cars. While Nissan models like the Qashqai hold value reasonably well, they still depreciate. With no deposit, you may be in negative equity in the early months.
Electric vehicle considerations (Leaf): if financing a Nissan Leaf, be aware that battery degradation can affect range over time and may impact resale value. Check the battery health report before committing.
Missing payments will damage your credit score and could result in the car being repossessed by the finance company.
Where to Buy a Nissan in the UK
Once your finance is approved with Whoosh, you can buy your Nissan from anywhere:
Nissan franchise dealerships
Nissan Approved Used cars with manufacturer-backed warranties and inspections. Typically more expensive but provide additional reassurance.
Independent dealers
Many independent garages carry excellent used Nissans at competitive prices. The Qashqai and Juke are common enough on the used market that you will find a wide selection.
Online retailers
National online car retailers deliver to your door, and our finance works with all of them.
We do not restrict your choice. Any reputable, FCA-compliant dealer in the UK is fine.
