BMW Finance UK — Drive Your Dream BMW

Got your eye on a BMW? Whether it is a sporty 1 Series, a spacious 3 Series, or a practical X1 for the family, Whoosh Car Finance can help you get behind the wheel. We are an FCA-authorised credit broker based in Manchester, and we arrange finance for any used BMW from any dealer in the UK.

You do not need to go through a BMW franchise dealer's finance. You do not need perfect credit. And you do not need a huge deposit. Apply online in minutes — our initial eligibility check uses a soft search — and we will search a panel of lenders accessed through our finance partners to find the best deal for your situation.

Popular BMW Models We Finance

BMW is one of the most popular brands we see finance applications for, and for good reason — they offer a genuine driving experience at a range of price points. Here are the models we arrange finance for most often:

BMW 1 Series

The entry point to the BMW range. Compact enough for the city, refined for motorways. Used 2017–2019 examples typically finance from around £177/mo depending on mileage, condition, and credit profile.

BMW 2 Series

Available as a coupe, Gran Coupe, or Active Tourer. The Active Tourer is particularly popular with families wanting BMW quality in a more practical package.

BMW 3 Series

The quintessential BMW. More space, a commanding driving position, and that classic BMW feel. Used examples hold their value well — a strong choice for PCP agreements.

BMW X1

BMW's compact SUV. Increasingly popular with families and anyone who wants a higher driving position, with a quality interior and reasonable running costs.

BMW X3

The larger SUV option. More space, more presence, more capability. Used 2017–2019 examples offer excellent value.

We also regularly arrange finance for the BMW 4 Series, 5 Series, X2, X5, and other models. If it is a BMW, we can finance it.

How Much Does BMW Finance Cost?

The monthly cost of financing a BMW depends on several factors:

  • The price of the car — newer BMWs with lower mileage cost more
  • Your deposit — a larger deposit reduces the amount borrowed
  • The APR you are offered — depends on your credit profile
  • The agreement length — longer terms lower the monthly but raise total cost
  • The finance type — PCP offers lower monthlies; HP gives ownership at the end

As a rough guide, used BMW finance typically starts from around £177 per month for a 1 Series, rising to £250–£350+ per month for 3 Series and X models depending on the specific car and your circumstances.

These are illustrative figures only. The actual cost depends on your individual credit assessment. Use our car finance calculator for a personalised estimate.

Representative example: Borrowing £23,000 over 60 months at a representative APR of 10.9%, an annual interest rate of 10.87% (fixed) and a deposit of £0.00, you would make 60 monthly payments of £493.16. Total amount payable: £29,589.60. Total cost of credit: £6,589.60. This is an example only; all finance is subject to status. Lender fees may apply.

Your Finance Options

Through our finance partners, you can access two main types of finance for your BMW:

Hire Purchase (HP)

Fixed monthly payments over an agreed term. You own the BMW at the end. No mileage limits, no balloon payment, no condition requirements. Popular if you plan to keep the car or drive high mileage.

Personal Contract Purchase (PCP)

Lower monthly payments with a larger final balloon. Pay the balloon and keep the BMW, hand it back, or use any equity towards your next car. Mileage limits and condition requirements apply.

BMW Finance with Bad Credit

Been refused finance before? That does not mean you cannot finance a BMW. We work with specialist lenders available through our finance partners who consider applicants with CCJs, defaults, missed payments, and low credit scores.

The interest rate will typically be higher than for someone with excellent credit, and your choice of finance type may be limited (HP is more widely available than PCP for bad credit applicants). But getting approved for a used BMW is often possible even with a difficult credit history.

We are upfront about costs — we will always show you the full APR, monthly payment, and total amount payable so you can make an informed decision. Read more on our bad credit car finance page.

Finance Risks to Consider

FCA Consumer Duty — mandatory disclosures

Before financing a BMW, understand the following:

All finance is subject to status. The rate you are offered depends on your individual credit assessment. The representative APR of 10.9% is received by at least 51% of approved applicants — you may be offered a higher or lower rate.

Financing a car costs more than paying cash because of interest. Always check the total amount payable — not just the monthly figure — to understand the true cost.

BMWs can have higher running costs than some mainstream brands, including insurance, servicing, and parts. Factor these into your budget alongside the monthly finance payment.

Depreciation affects your equity. BMWs hold value reasonably well, but they still depreciate. With no deposit, you may be in negative equity in the early months of the agreement.

Missing payments will damage your credit score and could result in the car being repossessed by the finance company.

Where to Buy a BMW in the UK

Once your finance is approved with Whoosh, you can buy your BMW from anywhere:

BMW franchise dealerships

Approved Used BMWs with manufacturer warranties and multi-point inspections. Typically more expensive but come with additional peace of mind.

Independent dealers

Often offer excellent value on used BMWs. Many specialists focus exclusively on BMW and know the cars inside out.

Online retailers

National online dealers like Cinch and AutoTrader dealer listings deliver cars to your door. Our finance works with all of these.

We do not restrict your choice. Any reputable, FCA-compliant dealer in the UK is fine.
